Elgin, IL is a great city in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. There are a variety of places to go and things to see in Elgin, IL. When I visited Elgin I saw a variety of different sites and ate at some great local restaurants. As I mentioned earlier, Elgin is a suburb of Chicago, IL and has some great places to grab some deep dish pizza, a staple of this area. One of the best restaurants I tried while in Elgin was a pizza place called Giordanos. This was by far the best pizza I had during my time in Elgin.

 

If you are traveling to Elgin, IL and have children, then there are a variety of activities to keep them entertained. I took my small children to a petting zoo in Dundee, IL and is a short drive from Elgin. We had a great time seeing the animals.

 

If you are looking for some adult oriented fun in Elgin, then look no further than the Grand Victoria Casino in the river downtown. The atmosphere is great and the minimums on the table games are fair. This is a great place to spend the night if you are visiting Elgin.
